Special Education and early intervention programs are specially designed programs offered at no cost to families of children with disabilities, ages birth to 5 years. |

What should I do if I think my toddler or preschooler needs special services? |

If you think your child needs special educational services you will first need to find out if he/she are eligible. Establishing eligibility through an Evaluation is the first step. |

What is an Evaluation? |
|
| |
The Evaluation determines whether a child has a disability and the extent of the special education and related services the child needs. This information may come from:
- Your child's medical history;
- Developmental tests given to your child;
- Observations and feedback from all members of the Assessment Team, including parents;
- Any other relevant observations, records, and/or reports about your child.

Who conducts my child's evaluation? |

Your child's evaluation will be conducted by a multidisciplinary team of professionals including a special educator, psychologist, speech pathologist, social worker and other appropriate clinical professionals. |
